Javier Bardem candidato a mejor actor en los BAFTA

Javier Bardem ha sido seleccionado como candidato para optar a los premios BAFTA, galardones que concede la Academia Británica de las Artes Cinematográficas y de la Televisión y que están considerados como los 'oscar británicos'. El español, que competirá gracias a su excelente interpretación en 'Biutiful' de González Iñárritu, tendrá pocas opciones frente al británico Colin Firth, gran favorito reforzado tras conseguir el Globo de Oro por su actuación en 'El discurso del Rey'.

'Biutiful' también aspirará al premio en la categoría de mejor película de habla no inglesa, peleando el BAFTA con 'El secreto de tus ojos' de Juan José Campanella. 'The girl with the dragon tatoo', de Niels Arden Oplev; 'Io Sono L'amore', de Luca Guadagnino, y la francesa 'Des hommes et des dieux', de Xavier Beauvois completan el resto de candidaturas en esta sección.

Los galardones para los premios más importantes serán acaparados por grandes nombre del cine norteamericano, por lo que la ceremonia británica a celebrar en Londres el próximo 13 de febrero tendrá grandes similitudes con lo que acontezca en el teatro Kodak el 27 de febrero.

'El discurso del rey' lidera las nominaciones con 14 candidaturas, seguida de cerca por 'Black Swan' con 12, y ya más lejos 'Inception' con 9, '127 horas' y 'True Grit' con 8 y la ganadora del Globo de Oro a la mejor película, 'La red social', que ha obtenido sólo 6 candidaturas repartidas en los apartados más importantes de la competición, como el de mejor película.
